Opening Day is Here...
Opening Day is coming in hot and its the best time of the year. This is the time baseball fans wait for every year. It gives all teams hope from day one they can win or change the outcome of their previous season. We were reminded not so long ago that teams can change their whole season in one off-season. This is the best taught lesson that gives sport fans the sense of hope and longing or their team to be good. We will see how this season goes for everyone around here's favorite division, the NL central. Around here its a good mix of Cub, Cardinal, and Brewer fans i have noticed, so we should have a pretty tight and heated division once again as all three teams have stayed on top of their off season additions and resignings. The Cubs look to maybe fall off a bit after not stitching up their bullpen needs which glared at the end of last years season. The Cardinals added a big bat they were missing in Paul Goldschmidt, and they also got a few young pitchers that are now back and healthy. The Brewers have a few new additions in their bullpen and rotation but also got a few new bats and secured a few big bats for the future. I'm super excited to watch this divisional race, as they are all projected to be 90 win teams. The real test will be seeing whose teams can hold up from a health standpoint. Its always the biggest factor in every season, to see how teams can stay healthy or bring up young talent to fill the void of a minor injury.
Opening day fro fans is also one of the most fun days to be apart of as a fan from the standpoint of going to the stadium or downtown and enjoying all the festivities. Down in St. Louis there is ap lace called ballpark village right outside of Busch Stadium. This place gets swarmed with thousands of fans over and over but on opening day it brings the biggest crowd that St. Louis only sees once a year. All of the bars and restaurants and clubs around the stadium open up early and stay open late and its the best day of the year for big time baseball towns. Cant wait to see opening day for real once again after graduating.
